Remote utilities and facilities
Represent a remote monitoring site with synthetic (made-up test) traffic. Test a connection through your gateway, including reconnect behavior and whether traffic can bypass the intended path.
State, local and education
Evaluate EigenTunnel (our software for encrypted connections between systems) with direct connections or a gateway (an intermediate connection point) on infrastructure your organization controls. Test a defined lab scenario, collect results, and decide what would be needed before deployment.
Proposed evaluation scenarios
These are proposed lab uses, not customer deployments or production approvals.
Represent a remote monitoring site with synthetic (made-up test) traffic. Test a connection through your gateway, including reconnect behavior and whether traffic can bypass the intended path.
Connect two lab machines or an off-site research endpoint. Record compatibility, delivery and operational limits before considering a broader migration.
Evaluate a node → your gateway → node topology (EigenTunnel machines connected through your gateway) across a difficult network boundary. Establish which routes and endpoints your team must operate.
Why evaluate
CISA (the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) has documented attacks against internet-exposed controllers, including water-sector systems. A protected connection is useful only when the surrounding deployment also restricts unwanted access and bypass routes. EigenTunnel does not patch controllers or replace authentication, backups or monitoring. Read the CISA advisory.
New York’s wastewater rules provide one state-specific example: requirements address access control, authentication and network structure, with relevant controls taking effect March 11, 2027. This is context for engineering decisions, not an EigenTunnel compliance claim. NYS DEC requirements.
University researchers have documented PQC (post-quantum cryptography: encryption designed to resist future quantum computers) migration work on scientific networks. A reproducible lab exercise can help teams ask similar questions about their own connections. PQC network instrument research.
Executive Order 14412 of June 22, 2026 directs federal PQC transition work and assistance to critical-infrastructure operators. Federal deadlines are not blanket requirements for every state agency, city or school. Read the executive order.
For schools, foundational measures such as MFA (multi-factor authentication), patching and tested backups remain priorities. A connection evaluation should address a specific need alongside those measures. Education Department guidance.
Policy context reviewed September 6, 2026. Applicability depends on the organization and deployment.
Request binary lab access and use public Python tools. Your organization operates and pays for its nodes, gateway and network. Package availability and evaluation terms are confirmed during manual review.
Agree engineering assistance, integration work, evidence deliverables and support. Eigen-Systems-operated infrastructure requires a paid scope; no company-funded hosting is included in the free lab.
The founder has tested macOS® → AWS (Amazon Web Services) → macOS relay connectivity with the remote endpoint behind Starlink satellite internet and its NAT (network address translation, which makes direct connections difficult). The private CNSA 2.0 profile (CNSA is the NSA’s Commercial National Security Algorithm Suite) has separate developer-test evidence. Independent assessment and production deployment evidence are pending; payment and provisioning for EigenTunnel Console (our paid, managed service for setting up and running EigenTunnel connections) are unfinished.
Start with synthetic data and non-operational systems. No CJIS compliance, FIPS validation, authorization, life-safety suitability or prevention of a past incident is claimed. Core (the commercial EigenTunnel software) implementation source remains private.
